One of the country’s best-known fintech firms TrueMoney has donated essential supplies to flood victims in Banteay Meanchey as part of an overall donation drive aimed at some of the worst affected areas throughout the country.
A dozen-strong team of staff from TrueMoney donated care packs worth tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of families affected by recent floods in Thmar Pouk District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The donations included rice, water, soy sauce, noodles, and canned fish.
While handing the donation over to local officials at Thmar Pouk District, TrueMoney Head of Sales & Distribution, Mr. Sovath Dari Yeavich said: “At TrueMoney we pride ourselves on being there for our fellow Cambodians – whenever and wherever they need us. At this particularly difficult time, we want to reassure those affected that we are always there to support them – which is why we are here today.”
Hundreds of families who had been displaced by the recent flooding were in attendance as the donations were handed over.
“Even though our team here today is fairly small, we carry the best wishes and concerns of all our staff and thousands of our agents,” Yeavich added. “Please accept these gifts from all of us at TrueMoney. We hope that they go some small way to help as you face the ongoing challenges that have been caused by these terrible floods.”
TrueMoney’s assistance to families in Banteay Meanchey Province is one of a number of donation drives that the company is undertaking over the coming days.
